Remote Data Quality Analyst – Cyprus, Greece or Remote

The Role: 

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Data Quality Analyst to join our fast-growing team! The successful candidate will join the Data Governance team responsible for collaborating with our main IT stakeholders and the business data consumers to deliver data quality analysis and profiling of the company’s critical data to drive business improvement, embed data ownership and work closely with stakeholders to define data quality rules. In addition, the role will help lead the establishment of effective data quality monitoring, create visualisations through dashboards and support the resolution of data related issues.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Implement data quality measurements on critical data
  • Perform statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity
  • Gather data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends
  • Perform root cause analysis to discover the cause of data issues
  • Collaborate with database developers to improve data collection and storage processes
  • Monitor, investigate, and correct data errors as needed
  • Support data improvement programmes and assist data stewards to rectify data issues
  • Report data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritise information system needs
  • Escalate urgent issues to team leader for help in resolution
  • Create dashboards and reports using visualisation tools 
  • Produce data quality reports and scorecards for all key data assets


Main requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, any other related 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Hands-on experience in the manipulation, integration, processing, and interrogation of large datasets
  • Experience in issue management, remediation, and performance reporting/dashboards
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and tests
  • Solid knowledge in programming languages, including Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python/R
  • Experience authoring, maintaining and executing data quality rules and reporting performance
  • Experienced in the application of data quality toolsets and business intelligence tooling 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
