Our users need better building blocks to accept payments, move funds, and exchange between fiat and crypto. We’re looking for a talented Data Scientist to partner with our brand new Crypto team and help us build and scale a suite of products to deliver a great crypto-native experience to our users. As a data scientist, you will get to employ the full data science toolbox in order to solve challenging problems in this exciting domain, from experiments and causal inference, to working with our partner teams to rigorously define and forecast metrics, and developing and deploying ML models to solve user needs. You will:

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX Research, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Data Science teams to shape product strategy using rigorous scientific solutions
• Apply statistical, machine learning and econometric models on large datasets to: i) measure results and outcomes of our current models and product strategies, ii) optimize user experience while minimizing fraud/risks
• Design, conduct, and analyze experiments to quantify the impact of product and operation changes
• Develop metrics to guide product development, and create dashboards for key performance indicators and deep dive to understand the drivers
• Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years experience working with and analyzing large data sets to solve problems 
• A PhD or MS in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Operations Research) 
• Expert knowledge of a scientific computing language (such as R or Python) and SQL 
• Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning and optimization
• Demonstrated track record of identifying, scoping and leading complex data science projects with cross-functional partners and high business impact 
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner

Nice to haves:

• Experience and passion for the cryptocurrency space
• Experience with tools for working with “big data” in a distributed fashion (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
• Experience building ETL pipelines
